Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
My goal is to collaboratively identify positive thoughts, behaviors, and coping skills that could improve well-being. I create a safe, collaborative, nonjudgmental space where you can realize and activate your strengths, positive mindset, potential, and coping skills. I believe a trusting, accepting therapeutic alliance with your therapist is the most important aspect of the counseling process. I believe in welcoming each and every client to a safe space that encourages meaningful self-exploration, and personal development. When it seems helpful, I integrate different therapeutic approaches or use an eclectic approach. I have researched bullying in schools and the workplace extensively since 2005. I've interviewed hundreds of adolescents from diverse backgrounds about their bullying experiences, and have presented developmental bullying research internationally. Outside of counseling, I work on youth development as a certified USA Hockey Coach (CEP Level 3) for school age children.
