I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. I have worked in Emergency Services, Outpatient Mental Health and Schools. While working in schools I primarily served adolescents on Individualized Education Plans for Social Emotional difficulties. Most recently, I ran an intensive transition program for adolescents returning to school from hospitalization. I decided to transition to Private Practice so that I could focus on my passion for direct clinical work. I now enjoy working with individuals across the life span.

My first priority is to build a trusting relationship with my clients so that they feel safe and supported. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist by training, which means that I believe we are all products of our past experiences. I will help you to explore past experiences, identify root causes to emotional distress and understand how these experiences may be playing out in your current life.

My approach is trauma informed. I believe that knowledge is power and want you to become an expert on your own brain. We will explore how symptoms you are struggling with now may have been helpful to you in the past. I draw upon mindfulness and sensorimotor techniques to help you reorganize your internal experience. We will confront your “inner critic” together and learn to restructure maladaptive thought patterns.
