LYME DISEASE: THE HIDDEN EPIDEMIC, Jack Weltner, MD
Over 300,000 people are infected with Lyme every year in our country. Often, the first symptoms are depression or other mental manifestations, and therapists may be the first clinicians involved. Lyme, if caught early is easily treated, but if not recognized it can become embedded and extremely hard to treat.
In this conference we will discuss recognition and early diagnosis, appropriate referral, and some of the controversies about “chronic Lyme”.
