Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
Our practice offers "thoughtful psychiatry" by integrating psychodynamic principles into medication prescribing and therapy. We prioritize seeing you as an individual and encourage exploration of root causes, by delving into the challenges which bring you to seek treatment. We work toward helping you to gain insights, develop coping skills, and make the lasting changes you wish to make in improving your quality of life. While medication can be an important part of your treatment, we believe that true healing comes from exploring the root causes of mental health issues. We strive for compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration with other therapists, if involved, to ensure that you are receiving the best possible care. At the heart of our practice is a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, honoring the complexity and depth of your human experience.
My post-graduate training is diverse and extensive, including a residency for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the Boston Department of Veteran Affairs, as well as 6 years of training in psychodynamic and psychotherapies at prestigious institutes such as the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis, Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, and Psychodynamic Couples and Family Institute of New England. My training also includes specialized approaches such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapy, Transference Focused Psychotherapy, and Good Psychiatric Management, which have equipped me to effectively treat patients with personality disorders and attachment trauma.
At Thoughtful Psychiatry, we have an additional team of highly trained Providers; however, all share in the passion for offering exceptional care. We are proud to be growing quickly and expanding our reach to help more in achieving lasting mental wellness, and we are currently accepting new patients!
